Social Media Logos
In today’s digital landscape, social media platforms have become powerful tools for connecting with our audience. That’s why it’s essential for the MIT brand to be properly represented across these channels.
MIT logo
The first option for social media branding is to use the MIT logo to represent your department or group.
The MIT logo social icon is available for download in the color combinations illustrated below. You can also use a background color of your choosing, except for black or white, which are reserved for our flagship social media channels. If you use your own color, confirm that there's sufficient contrast between the black or white MIT and the background color. The WebAIM Contrast Checker is a free tool for checking color contrast. Note that the MIT logo must always appear in black or white.
Symbol
If your department or group has its own symbol or logo, you can use that logo on your social channels. Your social media icon should not include the MIT logo alongside the logo of your department or group
If you have a sub-brand logo, use the MIT logo icon or a photo; your sub-brand logo cannot be used as your social media icon because of legibility at such a small size.

Photography
Choosing imagery that represents your department or group is another good option for social media.
